An Inside Look At the Blackberry Torch

We have witnessed a lot of innovative mobile phones by BlackBerry. There is no doubt in saying that BlackBerry was the first company to bring emailing devices that had some real promise to deliver. RIM or Research in Motion is the manufacturing giants that are responsible for making the BlackBerry phones. RIM had brought some really nice mobiles such as BlackBerry Curve and BlackBerry Dakota, and one of the best Tablet PC i.e., Playbook, into the consumer market. A very new smart phone that is considered a giant step of innovation by RIM is the new Blackberry Torch.

BlackBerry introduced its very first touch screen slider phone with the new model TORCH of BlackBerry 9800. The phone became an instant hit with the arrival in the market. The phone has a QWERTY layout physical keyboard as well. This means that the screen size is a reasonable size. This in result means that people can enjoy large sized text and best of all; good navigation on web pages. Furthermore, RIM has decided to introduce the new phone with a brand new and updated operating system; BlackBerry OS 6.

The success of the new Torch mobile is such that multiple companies have gone on to manufacture the phone. For BlackBerry Torch Rogers are the other manufacturers in the US. The rights to manufacture the new phone are also being considered by Bell and TELUS, as well. Bell is bringing the new phone in the market under their banner, latest by October 2011. The phone is being distributed by many companies, renowned ones like AT&T and Sprint. Virgin is also considering becoming a distributor for the famous Torch.

The reason for Torch’s success is the features with which the phone comes. You get a nice 3.2-inch capacitive touch screen. It is quite easy and comfortable to use and allows one to enjoy a good multimedia experience. You get some additional buttons on the front screen with an optical track pad. The QWERTY keyboard is the best feature, especially because of the fact that it has very roomy keys, compared with the Curve and Bold series by BlackBerry. The phone has a powerful 5-mega pixel camera, which enhances the multimedia experience.

Because of the success of the TORCH, RIM and Blackberry have started a whole series of the mobile phone. Between these, Torch 9810 and Torch 9850 are the ones which are gathering some real attention.
